/ History and experience
In 1997 Lasercroft Flooring commenced trading following the closure of Swansback Surfaces Ltd by it’s retiring owner and chairman, Bill Swanborough. With the support of all Swansback’s suppliers, the other Directors, staff and myself decided to continue providing the knowledge and experience that they had gained over the preceding 30 years with Swansback and formed Lasercroft Ltd to service the industrial clients they had dealt with, and as ever Lasercroft has continued in this vein. Staff of Lasercroft were instrumental in the development of Ucrete polyurethane resin flooring systems during the 70’s and 80’s (which is still considered the market leader). They also were the first to formulate resin based coved skirtings which are an integral part of the seamless, chemical resistant and hygienic systems used in most industrial environments today. This ethos has been continued and both the directors and workforce (several now second generation) still retain the skill set, unrivalled by many other resin flooring contractors. Whilst carrying out major projects and refurbishment work throughout the UK and abroad, Lasercroft’s specialist knowledge of the ‘tricky & awkward’ jobs sets them ahead of many of their rivals, especially when it comes to timed maintenance work over weekends and holiday periods. “I am confident that Lasercroft’s continual development of flooring systems for the industrial, commercial and residential markets – in both resin and cementitious materials – will keep them at the top of the specialist flooring sector.” John Carmichael, Co-Founder, Lasercroft Ltd.
